The Manual Export Problem

If you've tried to keep a trading journal while using MetaTrader 5, you know the pain: export the statement, open the CSV, clean the formatting, paste into your journal, fix the column headers. Every. Single. Day.

ProfitLogHQ's MT5 bridge agent eliminates this completely.

How the Bridge Agent Works

The bridge is a lightweight desktop application that runs silently on your Windows PC. Here's what it does:

  1. Connects to your MT5 terminal using MetaTrader's built-in API — no third-party access required
  2. Reads your trade history from the terminal files directly — closed positions, open positions, and account details
  3. Pushes trades to ProfitLogHQ via an encrypted API call using your personal sync token
  4. Runs every hour automatically — or you can trigger a manual sync anytime with one click

Setup in 5 Minutes

  1. Log into ProfitLogHQ and go to Broker Sync → MT5 Bridge
  2. Download the bridge installer for Windows
  3. Run the installer — it creates a background service
  4. Paste your sync token from ProfitLogHQ into the bridge configuration window
  5. Click Test Connection — your trades appear in ProfitLogHQ within seconds

What Gets Synced

  • All closed positions with entry/exit price, volume, and exact timestamps
  • P&L in account currency (automatically calculated)
  • Symbol, order type (market/limit/stop), and order comment
  • Commission and swap charges
  • Open positions (shown as open trades in your dashboard)
